My time in Honduras ends today and tomorrow I will be in Guatemala! These two months in Honduras have been so good and one of my favorite things I got out of it is how much I have been able to appreciate the small things. Here is an alphabetical list of things I have been thankful for at one point or another over the last two months!
Alone time in my hammock overlooking the mountains
Baleadas (fav meal in Honduras)
Cozy sweat pants that kept me warm during cold nights
David, Scarleth, Roger, and Cory, our ministry hosts
Edwin Funez, the town doctor
Frijolis chips
Girls night a few weeks ago (chick flick, chips and guac, cookies, hot chocolate, etc.)
Hot water to make mint tea
Internet connection to call family and friends back home
Jonathan and Valerie, our host’s niece and nephew who helped cook all our meals
Kavu bag that is surprisingly spacious
Laughing every single day
Midnight fireworks on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve
Nalgene water bottle even though I’m constantly dehydrated
One-on-ones with my Racers
Praying for 30 mins each morning with some of the girls
Quiet and slow mornings
Rainy days for a week straight
Spotify Premium
Trees that have just enough space between them to hang a hammock
Understanding Spanish and being able to talk to the locals
Valle de Angeles
Walks along the creek near our house
X-ing this one off the list bc I can’t think of anything lolz
Youth and the ability to sleep almost anywhere with very few problems
Z-Squad. Love you, miss you, think about you often.
